The Société Générale Head Office, located in Block 21, New Belgrade, Serbia, is a prominent architectural project that was developed between 2014 and 2016. The building serves as both a bank and an office and covers an area of approximately 10,600 square meters. The project was undertaken by the renowned architectural firm Arhi.pro, with Anja Ivana Milić and Miloš Petrović as the primary designers.

Arhi.pro had previously collaborated with Société Générale for fifteen years, working on various aspects such as architectural brand development and construction services. Their long-standing relationship and expertise in the field led to their selection for the significant task of designing and developing the new Société Générale Head Office building in Belgrade.

One of the primary challenges faced by the architects was to seamlessly integrate the new structure into the existing urban fabric of New Belgrade while creating a modern, appealing, and intelligent building that complemented the surroundings. The goal was to strike a balance between incorporating the bank's corporate identity into the design and ensuring the building would stand out as a contemporary landmark in the neighborhood.

To achieve this, the architects devised a unique approach to the building's facade, introducing distinct segments that added a playful yet disciplined character to the structure. This design choice not only emphasized the specific volume of the building but also reinforced its purpose and function.

Arhi.pro played a vital role throughout the project's lifecycle, from conceptualizing and developing preliminary and detailed architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) designs to overseeing the interior design. Their involvement extended to the construction phase as well, as they provided design site supervision during the building's construction.

The project progressed steadily, and by April 2015, the design for construction permit development was completed. After meticulous planning and execution, the building was finally occupied in 2016, serving as the new headquarters for Société Générale in Belgrade.

The Société Générale Head Office stands as a testament to the successful collaboration between Arhi.pro and the IMEL Group, representing the high standards of architectural design and construction in the region. Its integration of modernity within the context of New Belgrade's urban landscape has resulted in a striking landmark that reflects the bank's identity while enhancing the visual appeal of the neighborhood.
